Notes
The Bibliographer’s Manual of English Literature (1834) identifies the "eminent writer" here as Charles Coote, who evidently wrote addenda for many older works of European history. This item was the third variant of this work that Stewart published in Alexandria; the two prior editions were issued during his partnership with Peter Cottom (1806.033, 1811.058).
