In compliance with a Requisition of the President of the United States, on the militia of this state, signified through the Honorable Secretary at War, by his letter of the 4th instant, the commandants of brigades will make the following details, without delay ... Sheet lacks colophon; printing such items was usually the responsibility of the public printer, then Samuel Pleasants; however, several items from the Office of Adjutant General were assigned to the press of Ritchie & Trueheart in the summer and fall of 1814 as Pleasants's health declined (he died October 4th), so the attribution here. Gooch later became partner to kinsman Thomas Ritchie as publisher of the Richmond Enquirer.
