Sheet reports capture of Paris by forces of the Third Coalition and the removal of Napoleon Bonaparte by the French Parliament at start of April 1814; reports of Napoleon's abdication under the Treaty of Fontainebleau (April 11), arrived in Richmond during the ensuing week. The Virginia Argus was printed and published by Samuel Pleasants from 1793 until his death in October 1814, so the attribution here.
