Notes
No copy known extant; Pleasants was ordered on May 17, 1813, to print 500 copies of this set of letters, called "Packet A," for the use of members of the Assembly; these letters accompanied Gov. Barbour's message to this special session of Assembly (1813.038), and traced a conflict between the state and federal governments created by an act of the prior Assembly over militia organization and deployment, one of two reasons for the session.
