Notes

No copy known extant; on January 3, 1812, Pleasants was ordered to print 250 copies of the census reports for 1800 and 1810 "in the form it is printed by order of the government of the United States" for the use of the Assembly(1812.005); it was also ordered that he to add to that document a tabulation for each county the number of free persons, of three-fifths of the number of slaves, and a sum of the two numbers, which Pleasants apparently issued as a second broadside with that title reprinted on the verso of this item; the addendum indicates that this item was produced for the decennial reapportionment of Virginia's congressional districts.
