Notes
Fitzwhylsonn's surname was variously spelled as Fitzwhilsonn, Fitzwhyleson, Fitzwhyllson, and Fitzwhylson; style used here is that seen in official record while he was in public office. Sheet lacks colophon; Fitzwhylsonn & Potter employed differing (and usually anonymous) Richmond job printers for their few publications, so the issuing press cannot be determined without further evidence; Hummel recorded this title from a photocopy at the University of Virginia, dating it to 1811 from context of accompanying documents; that date is listed here in conformance with Hummel; however, this advertising handbill could have issued any time during the life of the the Fitzwhylsonn & Potter partnership (1805 to 1817).
