Notes
Hening & Munford offered their reports in either as pamphlet-form "advance sheets" that covered a set of cases as they were printed. or as completed bound volumes; the reporters eventually issued four volumes of case reports jointly from 1807 to 1811 (Virginia Reports, vols. 11-14), with Munford issuing a further six volumes from 1812 to 1826 (Virginia Reports, vols. 15-20); first volume issued from the Philadelphia press of Smith and Maxwell in 1808 (Swem 8194), after they issued two pamphlet sets from press of Samuel Pleasants (1807.022 & 1808.0xx). Sheet lacks colophon; text is dated "Richmond … July 9th, 1806"; given the authors' ensuing association with Pleasants, this title likely issued from that press; but the other Richmond presses cannot be excluded, so the indeterminacy here.
