Notes
Ascribed to Lord Edward Wortley Montagu (1713-76) by Shaw & Shoemaker, but the text here does not conform to his known writings, so the lack of an authorial attribution here. Shutz conducted a commercial circulating library in Alexandria from 1802 to 1817; this title was his only attempt at publishing literary works for the American book trade. Title was apparently issued both as individual volumes and as a bound-together set; Shaw & Shoemaker recorded such a combined set in their bibliography (#2536); however, the Early American Imprints Series filmed a separate volume II as this title under that entry number.
