Notes
First issue in a two-volume set reporting the cases decided by Virginia's Supreme Court of Appeals from 1790 to 1796; volume 1 covers Spring Term 1790 to Spring Term 1794; volume 2 covers Fall Term 1794 to Fall Term 1796. Given the previous use of Nicolson's press by George Wythe in publishing his law reports, Washington engaged this printer as well, as did Daniel Call subsequently. In November 1911, the Virginia Supreme Court ordered a chronological numbering of the 75 such reporter-named reports that had been published in the state until then, so giving these titles a second designation as volumes 1 & 2 of the Virginia Reports series. The Early American Imprints Series did not film this volume; it mistakenly duplicated volume 2 under the number assigned by Evans to volume 1 (34958).
