Notes
Session met from October 20 to December 30, 1788; thus session records all 1789 imprints As with the three prior Assemblies the task of printing this session's laws was split among the three Richmond presses headed by John Dixon, Augustine Davis, and Thomas Nicolson; Dixon was officially the public printer, but his office was plagued by production delays, hence the division of the public work and the combined provenance seen here. Some authorities mistake this combination as a distinct partnership, rather than a forced collaboration.
