Notes
Session met from October 21, 1782 to December 28, 1782; as a result the session's journals and session laws were issued in January 1783. No copy of this imprint known to be extant; Swem included in his bibliography based on the standing order to print session journals and the entry found in Evans; Evan suggests it may not have been printed, but an ensuing conflict between the Assembly and James Hayes indicates it was published, though tardily and in a very short print-run. John Dunlap and James Hayes began work in Richmond in December 1781 as Virginia's public printers; they held the position until May 1786 with Hayes the sole resident proprietor.
