Notes
Two variants of this tract were issued in Williamsburg; the printer imprint herein – "Printed by W. Rind and sold by him and Messrs. Purdie and Dixon for the charity" – establishes this variant as a Rind production; the imprint for the other version (1771.002) – "Printed for Mess. Payne, Davies, Elmsly and Pearch in London, and Mr. Woodyer in Cambridge" suggests a second edition by Purdie & Dixon, who had a larger bookselling business, as well as a direct connection to Samuel Davies, whose widow is mentioned therein. Clayton-Torrence recorded this variant (#376), while Evans recorded the other one (#12072), with both suggesting Rind as the uncredited producer.
