Notes
First session of the Assembly of 1766-1769 (two meetings: November 6 to December 16, 1766 and March 12 to April 11, 1767). The journal of both meetings was designed as a single, continuously numbered volume. Thus Swem recorded this as a single volume (#22636) from the copy he saw in the State Archives (today the Library of Virginia); yet separately bound copies of the first session's journal survive, leading Clayton-Torrence to report this title as two distinct imprints (#332 & #340); Shipton & Mooney also recorded both journals separately (#41668 & #41744); no separate copies of the second meeting's journal are known today. So the Early American Imprints project initially found and filmed only the November meeting (#41668), adding the second meeting (#41744) in a later update employing the State Archives complete copy. Bristol recorded the journal of the November session only (#B2715). Entry here conforms to Clayton-Torrence and Shipton & Mooney entries.
