1817.104: Baptism Hymn.
Full Title: Baptism Hymn.
Place Issued: Woodstock
Issuing Press: Williams & Bogan
Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 26 cm. x 23 cm. (broadside, printed in two columns).
Only known copy is held by the American Antiquarian Society. Imprint lacks date, stating it was printed at office of the Woodstock Herald; that paper was published by firm of Williams & Bogan; county clerk Williams brought printer Bogan to the Shenandoah County seat from Alexandria in early 1817, so this title could not have been produced before that date; as such broadside songsters were a popular and profitable item in the Valley's printing offices, this item likely issued from the new press shortly after Bogan arrived in the market town, so the date ascribed here.
