1815.051: Way Bill: Lexington, Virginia, by Bush and Belt.
Full Title: Way bill. Furnished at the Eagle Tavern, Lexington, Virginia, by Bush and Belt ... Harrisonburg Printing Office, Lawrence Wartmann, printer.
Author: Bush & Belt [firm].
Place Issued: Harrisonburg
Issuing Press: Lawrence Wartmann
Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 27 cm. x 23 cm. (broadside).
Sheet is a four-column table listing distances and carriage rates to/from the various locations along the Bush & Belt stage route from Lexington, Virginia, to Lexington, Kentucky. Imprint lacks date; Hummel suggested a date of "ca. 1810," however, Wartmann did not take control of the Harrisonburg press until late 1815; that date is supplied here, despite the clear possibility that it could have issued anytime between 1815 and 1840, when the printer died.
