1815.044: Act amending Act Incorporating Swift Run Gap Turnpike Company.
Published: 1815
Full Title: An Act to Amend the Act Entitled "An Act Incorporating a Company to Establish a Turnpike Road from Fredericksburg to Swift Run Gap in the Blue Ridge."
Author: Virginia. General Assembly.
Place Issued: Fredericksburg
Issuing Press: Green & Cady
Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 21 cm. x 19 cm. (broadside).
Notes
Sheet lacks colophon; as the Assembly did not order this act printed separately from the session laws, this title was evidently extracted from that collection (see Chap. XLIX of Acts of October 1814 Assembly); such a conclusion is also supported by lack of an entry in Swem. Original 1810 legislation was also extracted from that session's laws and printed by Timothy Green in Fredericksburg (1811.061); so it is most likely that company's Fredericksburg-based directors followed the same course here, engaging Green (now with partner Cady) to publish the alterations to their charter from his press, so the attributions made here.
