This session met from October 10, 1814 to January 19, 1815. Thomas Ritchie became printer to the Commonwealth on January 1, 1815, when the brief license granted to Deborah W. L. Pleasants expired; she had assumed the formal title on the death of her husband, Samuel Pleasants, in October, six days before this session opened; but as of January 1st, that title fell to Ritchie, printer to the Senate, with his protégé, Thomas Burling, taking on his old assignment.
