1812.107: In memory of William Byrd Page.
Full Title: Hic virtus—hic honos erat In memory of William Byrd Page, (second son of Mann Page, of North River) ... this plate is inscribed by his affectionate wife Ann, (third daughter of the late Henry Lee, of Leesylvania) ...
Place Issued: Virginia
Issuing Press: Uncertain
Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 37 cm. x 39 cm. (broadside).
Only known copy is held by the Virginia Historical Society. Sheet lacks colophon; William Byrd Page (1774-1812) resided at Fairfield Plantation in Clarke County (and was apparently buried there), so Hummel suggested Fairfield as place of issue; but the only presses then in the area were at Charlestown, Martinsburg, and Winchester, with any one being a possible source for this item; hence the indeterminacy here.
