An extra edition of the Republican-oriented newspaper of Samuel Pleasants; content was a reprint of the account published in the National Intelligencer on November 4th of President Madison's annual message to Congress, delivered that same day; the fact that this extra was matched by one from the Virginia Patriot of Augustine Davis (1812.057) on November 6th as well evinces a two-day transit of copies of the Intelligencer from Washington to Richmond.
