1811.051: Elegy on Richmond Theater Fire for the Enquirer.
Full Title: To the Editor of the Enquirer ... Whether the cheerful sun shall gild the day ... Carolinus.
Author: Carolinus [pseudonym].
Place Issued: Virginia
Issuing Press: Thomas Ritchie
Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 19 cm. x 30 cm. (broadside).
Only known copy is held in the collections of the Valentine Museum in Richmond. Sheet lacks colophon; as these verses are addressed to Thomas Ritchie, this title is clearly a Richmond imprint issued from the press producing Ritchie's Enquirer; Hummel suggests a date of 1811, which is more than possible, given the public interest exhibited immediately after the December 26th fire, despite there being only four days left in that year; hence, this Index adopts that dating.
