1808.064: Virginia Almanack for 1809 (Cottom & Stewart).
Full Title: The Virginia Almanack for the year of our Lord, 1809. Being the 1st after Bissextile, or Leap-Year; and the 33d of American Independence.
Place Issued: Alexandria
Issuing Press: Cottom & Stewart
Description: [36 pgs.]; 18 cm. (12mo).
This title is one of the three nearly identical almanacs that Cottom & Stewart published for 1809; as in previous year, the pair made minor changes to the text of the main title, interchangeably using the word "Alexandria" (1808.062), "Washington" (1808.063), or "Virginia" (this item) immediately above the ornamental word "Almanack" at the top of the title page; otherwise all three imprints are typographically identical. The variations evince the partners' marketing of their annual almanacs in differing locales, urban and rural.
