Notes

Copy not seen; recorded here from entry in Hummel. That listing refers to a copy in the Duke University Library, but its current digital catalog does not record the item; title seems to be an item from the Dabney Family Papers in the Southern Historical Collection, so suggesting this letter was drafted by the congressman representing Louisa County, but that suggestion is unconfirmed; Hummel also noted a Virginia press as the publisher, but that attribution is speculative as well; if this letter is a Virginia imprint, it likely issued from Alexandria.
