Notes
The third of six volumes of case reports published by Daniel Call covering the period 1797 to 1805; vol. 1 was issued in 1801 (1801.017), vol. 2 in 1802 (1802.009), and vols. 4, 5, & 6 in 1833. This number reports cases heard by the Supreme Court of Appeals (predecessor of the state's modern-day Supreme Court) from April 1801 through May 1803, with an addendum of additional cases from 1790 not previously reported. In November 1911, the Virginia Supreme Court ordered a chronological numbering of the 75 such reporter-named reports that had been published in the state until then, so giving this title a second designation as volume 7 of the Virginia Reports series.
