Title page carries an imprint date of 1800, though it was necessarily issued after the session ended in January 1801; that error indicates that Nicolson continued the practice of his predecessors of compiling the official Senate journal from the typeset employed to print the journal sheets that were issued daily during the session, about 100 in number; not knowing the ending date of the meeting, the title page reflects the date when its printing started.
