Notes

Signed in print: "A Virginian Born and Bred." Author argues for eliminating the plantation agriculture of Virginia, including the enslavement of Africans to make it work, and a system of government that favors slave holders over other citizens. Given controversial nature of content, it is unsurprising that this imprint lacks any identified printer or place; yet subject matter and focus indicate a Virginia origin. Shipton & Mooney attributed title to James Hay. Only known copy filmed by the Early American Imprints Series is part of the Duane Pamphlet Collection (vol. 53, no. 7) at the Library of Congress.
