Notes
Case concerned property rights of one decedent's estate over a pre-existing bequest from the estate of another decedent, argued before the Supreme Court of Appeals in June 1792. One of a series of law reports published by Wythe in a form designed to be bound in volumes of collected decisions, so avoiding the expense of larger works, such as his earlier volume of High Court of Chancery decisions (1795.014); several imprints in this series carry only caption titles, so leaving determinations of authorial and printer credits to external sources; Evans attributed these unidentified titles to George Wythe and Thomas Nicolson, based on their 1795 association, and other authorities followed his lead – as does this Index.
