Published: 1795

Full Title: To the honourable the speakers and members of both houses of the General Assembly of Virginia : the petition of the subscribers, citizens and freeholders in the county of [blank] ... hope that a law may pass adding to the capital of the Bank of Alexandria ...

Author: Supporters of the Bank of Alexandria

Place Issued: Virginia

Issuing Press: Uncertain

Description: 1 sheet [1 pg.]; 39 cm. x 25 cm. (broadside, printed in two columns).

Petition submitted to the Assembly session of November 1795. Sheet lacks printer credit; two copies of this title are known extant; one copy has the blank spaces competed in manuscript for Spotsylvania County (and filmed by the Early American Imprints Series), suggesting a Fredericksburg origin; yet the other has such completions for Loudon County, suggesting an Alexandria origin; hence the indeterminate attribution here.
