Session met form October 17, 1785 to January 21, 1786. Surviving copies lack title page, being bound with other session records, so they also lack a printer credit. Evans and Swem both attributed imprint to Dunlap & Hayes, the incumbent public printers during this Assembly. However, this title was assigned to Augustine Davis by the executive council in September 1786, after Dunlap & Hayes were dismissed in May 1786 for negligence and Hayes then refused to complete any pending public work; their backlog of uncompleted work, which included this journal, was assigned to Davis in anticipation of the following session; their public post was awarded to the firm of Dixon & Holt in June 1786.
