Notes
First compilation of the laws in force since independence declared (see 1769.006). Originally contracted to Dixon & Holt, they subcontracted its printing to Nicolson & Prentis and binding to Brend & Currie. However, a January 1785 fire in the Nicolson & Prentis office destroyed the nearly completed project; Nicolson & Prentis were compelled to reprint the entire work independently, well below cost, before it was bound by Brend & Currie, hence the colophon credit. Nicolson & Prentis ended their partnership once the revisal was finished in May 1785.
