Notes

Address of the resident governor opening the Assembly session, setting out the legislative priorities of the imperial administration, delivered on October 27, 1748. Gooch concerned with efforts to rebuild Capitol, burned in January 1747, and an ongoing revisal of the laws. Printed on same sheet with the responses from the Council (1748.005) and the House of Burgesses (1748.006), unlike previous productions of these exchanges, so filmed together by the Early American Imprints series.
